About DeepSea Bio
DeepSea Bio's research and manufacturing come from the biology department at Tsinghua University. We make ingredients for supplements and food, pet nutrition and cosmetics at our site in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, with R&D in Shenzhen, Guangdong.
From the biology department at Tsinghua University
Strain development, enzyme engineering, fermentation, purification and analytical methods were developed over many years in Tsinghua University's biology laboratories, then scaled up by DeepSea Bio into industrial processes.
Our Shenzhen laboratory develops the processes and test methods. Mature processes are scaled up in Zhoushan, where the site laboratory carries out release testing.
Most of our ingredients are made by biological routes: fermentation and enzymatic conversion instead of chemical synthesis, with marine and plant materials extracted and concentrated in Zhoushan.
